Getting from Your Hotel to Stamford Bridge

By Tube (Recommended)

The London Underground is the fastest and most convenient way to reach Stamford Bridge.

Fulham Broadway (District Line) — The closest station, just 3 minutes' walk from the West Stand. This is the station most fans use.

West Brompton (District Line & Overground) — About 15 minutes' walk. A good alternative after matches to avoid Fulham Broadway crowds.

Earl's Court (District & Piccadilly Lines) — About 10-15 minutes' walk. Useful if coming from different tube lines. A pleasant route goes through Brompton Cemetery.

Key routes:

  • From Victoria: District Line to Fulham Broadway (18 minutes)
  • From Paddington: District Line (22 minutes)
  • From King's Cross: Victoria Line to Victoria, then District Line (35 minutes)
  • From Heathrow: Piccadilly Line to Earl's Court, then District Line to Fulham Broadway (about 1 hour total)

A single adult ticket from Zone 1 costs around £2.80. Daily cap for Zone 1-2 travel is £8.50.

By Bus

Several bus routes stop within a 10-minute walk of Stamford Bridge:

  • 14, 211, 414: Stop directly outside the stadium on Fulham Road
  • 11, 22, 28: Serve the wider area

Buses are the cheapest public transport option in London, with a flat fare of £1.75.

By Train (Overground)

West Brompton — About 15 minutes' walk from the stadium. On the line between Milton Keynes Central and South Croydon, plus the West London Overground line.

Imperial Wharf — About 17 minutes' walk. An alternative if coming from south London via Clapham Junction.

By River Boat

For something different, you can take a river boat to Chelsea Harbour pier (Monday to Friday) and walk from there. Boats run between Putney Pier and Blackfriars Pier.

By Car (Not Recommended)

Chelsea FC strongly discourages driving to Stamford Bridge. Parking restrictions are extensive — 7 days a week within a few miles of the ground. Parking wardens are particularly active on matchdays, and illegally parked cars may be towed.

Fulham Road between Harwood Road and Hortensia Road closes 90 minutes before kick-off and remains shut until an hour after full-time.

If you must drive, the JustPark and YourParkingSpace websites may help find limited spaces, but public transport is strongly recommended.
